Helsinki – February 6th – The Helsinki REDS’s Overwatch team and their coach Mikko “Tuutsi” Kamppari part ways. The initiative to terminate cooperation came from Tuutsi.
“It was a huge honor to be a part of the REDS’ first few months into competitive eSports. But right now I feel I don’t have the time or resources to concentrate in coaching full time. Professional eSports is very demanding and time consuming for both the players and coaches and I feel that this was not the right time for me to work full time as a coach”, Tuutsi said.
Helsinki REDS thank Tuutsi for all the hard work he put in for the team and the organization.
“We were sorry to hear about Tuutsi’s decision, but we have to appreciate it. Tuutsi committed himself a hundred per cent to working with our players and we were very pleased with his work”, said the REDS’ manager Christer Kasurinen.
“For now our Flex-DPS player Eemeli “Woomera” Ikonen will serve as interim coach of our team.”
