Helsinki REDS is happy to announce the signing of Stefan “Realtoxi” Statamović as the coach of our Dota 2 roster. 25-year-old Stamatovic has a long history with the game since the early days of Dota, a mod created for Warcraft 3 where it all began.
Statamović started his coaching career in 2017 and has since been a part of many new growing teams, helping them to develop. Stefan’s biggest accomplishments include coaching the Serbian based Element Pro Gaming (EPG). He has also worked for the Serbian national team in WESG, where they took a 9-16th place finish.
GM Christer Kasurinen has been very pleased with the quality of cooperation between the team and mr. Statamović.
”We are pleased that Stefan is on board and we get to develop our team with him. His experience in developing breakthrough teams in Europe is valuable beyond measure to us moving forward into the Tier 2 scene”, said Kasurinen.
Stamatovic is highly motivated on his new assignment and excited about the potential of the Helsinki REDS’ Dota 2 roster.
”I am looking forward to working with Helsinki REDS Dota 2 roster. I think that when sports teams start investing in esports, they have a true idea about the discipline and hard work it takes for a team to be successful.”
”We have already started our training with the new roster and will start playing some online tournaments soon. I am happy to be a part of the team and now our journey together has officially started.”
